may your days be merry and bright...

I hope everyone is having a positively wonderful holiday season so far...I have to say that I am filled with the holiday spirit, all right. And it's even snowy outside (around two to three feet of snow on the ground here).

Here's a pic of me and my dad shoveling a few days ago. Let me tell you that the snow piles around my driveway are taller than me...taller, even, than my 6'6" bro, and therefore perfect for making snow caves. The look on my face says it all, doesn't it?

Here are a few of my favorite gifts I received...

This is an amazingly warm totally sweet lumberjack jacket. It is really thick and warm and it reminds me of what my dad wore when I was little, which brings it the ever important sentimental value.

I also got two pairs of pajama pants that I don't want to wear because I hate when pretty fuzzy things get all full of dog/cat hair and all pill-y. But they are warm and fuzzy and waiting for the right time.

Here, also, is a white thermal-ish shirt for sleeping in, but I will probably wear it as a normal shirt.

Here are the bracelets I got - the one in the front is from my friend who lives in Birmingham (England) from a boutique she went to with her aunt.

Probably my favorite gift was this incredible purse from my mom. She's so funny. She says, "I left the price tag on so you could see what a good deal I got!" Yes, it was $10 marked down from $60. I love it.

I have spent most of the day reading The Boleyn Inheritance, which I have been reading for the past couple of days. Let me just tell you that if you haven't ever read any of Phillippa Gregory's books, do so now. I read The Other Boleyn Girl before the movie came out (the book is so much better, by the way) and it is the same caliber of amazingness. I definitely recommend her books, especially these about the reign of Henry VIII.

Speaking of Henry VIII, I also received season one of The Tudors, a show which I have never heard of, but now am quite curious about. I haven't watched any of them yet, but am excited to. Have any of you seen them? I must say that man looks quite tasty...
I especially love how the ladies' heads are chopped off on the front of the box. Historical humor at its best. Tee hee.

Okay...I'm off to read again now - only about a hundred pages left!

Also, if you have any ideas about how I could wear this white shirt, please let me know...I'm a bit stumped at the moment!

my brother gave me WALL-E, and is it terribly wrong to cry during a movie about robots? Good movie, though, good movie.
