the pockets in her mother's plaid dress

My mother used to wear this dress. When I was little I dragged it out of our dress-up box to play in. Now I wear it and imagine the places it's been with my mom and the places it will go with me. The pockets are my favorite part.

What a fabulous little dress and story to go with! One of the best parts of vintage, the stories.

I'm a huge fan of plaid dresses, I have several vintage ones. I like the way you accessorized your dress for fall, especially the beret and heeled boots.

I can not sing the praises of pockets enough. If a dress doesnt have pockets I almost always sew them in. Why they aren't already in everything is beyond me.
