it's better to feel pain than nothing at all

Well, the new year definitely has not started the way I thought it would, but I suppose that's not necessarily a bad thing. We're constantly warned to 'expect the unexpected,' and in this case the unexpected was definitely not expected, but I'm aiming to make the best of it. I've gotten laid off my job and, as if that wasn't enough, I've also been dragged through an emotional ring of fire (not in a good way). The life of a 'starving artist' may soon be upon me (I am exaggerating a bit). I am picking up work where I can, and I hope that in my new found spare time I can finally find time to figure out what the hell to do with my life come spring. The silver lining on this storm cloud is that I am actually going to have time! And I fully intend to devote a large part of it to revamping this blog and making it what I've always meant it to be. Come along for the ride?

So sorry to hear about you being laid-off! Hope that everything comes together soon. Glad that you are finding the silver lining and are going to be re-vamping the blog. Can't wait to see what changes you make. :)

Eek. The vest, the ring, the ear cuff. I love those little details.

You'll make it all right with all this life stuff going on! The only one who's in charge of your happiness is you. And you sound like you have a good attitude. :)

Sorry to hear about your job, that's a shame but like you said maybe having time is a blessing in disguise. I followed you and can't wait to see what you get up to. Also, I'm absolutely in love with your outfit :)
