wearing: trench coat and a fedora in my favorite cemetery

I'm writing this post from the desk in my new room in my new house! Well, it's not really my house, I didn't buy it or anything, but I will be living here indefinitely and I'm pretty excited about it. It's so wonderful to have an actual desk instead of lounging around on my bed to work all the time. I'm in the midst of moving my things to the new place, but the desk was calling me so I just had to sit down and publish a post. Anyways, you might have noticed if you follow me on Twitter or Instagram that I was back in my hometown visiting my family and friends for a few days. While I was there I couldn't resist a stop at my favorite cemetery for some photos...

This trench coat is one of the first things I bought when I first started working at a thrift store back in 2009. I wore it once and then, for some reason, banished it to the basement in my 'to donate' box. I rediscovered it when I was back home and quickly saved it wondering what the hell had gotten into me that I'd neglect such a wonderful piece. I mean, it fits me perfectly, it's warm and of wonderful quality (it is a London Fog trench coat, after all), and the design is classic. I definitely won't be parting with it any time soon. The dachshund brooch was a gift from my mom many years ago. I love him, he's just so sassy, and those tiny pearls are too cute.
