Of all the pieces I own from eShakti, this one immediately became my favorite the moment I opened the package. (You can see my other pieces here, here, and here.) I am in love with the cute collar, the nice deep pockets, and the great shape. The awesome thing about eShakti's site, besides their adorable clothing, is that you are able to customize the item of clothing specific to your style preferences. For instance, this dress was originally sleeveless, but I chose to add short sleeves (a change I was a bit worried about after I placed the order...but after trying it on I'm glad I went for it!) . The dress also was shown online with a "below the knee" length and I chose to make it quite a bit shorter. I am absolutely in love with the way it turned out with my customizing! And, of course, in general the dress is made beautifully and fits like a dream. I have a feeling it will be worn on plenty of peninsula adventures in this coming season!

More often than not when I'm out and about at night I'll be wearing some variation of this outfit, especially if I know I'm going to be playing pool (playing pool means bending over the table and when you're wearing a short dress...well, you get the idea). I'll rotate between sweaters, denim shirts, and blazers, but the idea pretty much remains the same. My wardrobe has seen a huge increase in pairs of pants since I've started playing pool regularly, so I have a nice selection there, also. The hat usually remains the same (it's my favorite, what can I say?).

What is it about the color black that is so mysterious and alluring? In my wardrobe I have more pieces in black than in any other color. It's gotten to the point that when I'm looking for clothes, I'll deliberately avoid a piece in black or, if they have it in multiple colors, go for a different neutral instead. I definitely don't want to be one of those who is a chronic black dresser, but sometimes black just fits the mood I'm in. I like feeling like I could just blend into a corner and watch everything that's going on around me. I mean, this is usually what I do anyways (I'm a bit of a wallflower), but it's always seems to be easier to blend into the shadows when I'm dressed accordingly.
